Parasitic Nature: Unlike typical flowering plants, Rafflesia arnoldii is parasitic and lacks leaves, stems, and roots. It lives as a parasite on the Tetrastigma vine, obtaining water and nutrients from its host.

Corpse-like Odor: When in bloom, the flower emits a strong, foul odor similar to that of rotting flesh, earning it the nickname "corpse flower." This odor attracts flies and other insects, which aid in pollination.

Rare and Endangered: Rafflesia arnoldii is considered rare and endangered due to habitat loss and over-harvesting. Its limited distribution in the rainforests of Sumatra and Borneo adds to its conservation concern.
